In a post on X, Bubeck described how the model assisted him with an exceptionally complex mathematical task—designing solution pathways, running simulations to verify formulas, and then producing a complete proof in what he called a seamless computational process. A task that previously would have taken about a month was accomplished by GPT-5 in just one afternoon. Bubeck hailed it as “the most impressive large language model output” he has seen to date.
