Today, BlackLine, a provider of financial automation software, announced the launch of Verity, a new suite of artificial intelligence capabilities designed to deliver embedded, auditable AI-powered digital labor to finance and accounting teams.
Verity is built on BlackLine’s Studio360 platform and its unified data layer, ensuring data integrity, accelerating solution deployment, and delivering intelligent insights to the CFO’s office.
According to the company, the new service—named after the Latin word for “truth”—is distinguished from other solutions by three core pillars: a control layer for AI, a unified platform serving as a single source of truth, and decades of process knowledge functioning as the blueprint for AI.
The control layer offers enterprises centralized governance, auditability, and transparency—key features for securely operating AI models. The unified platform acts as the single source of truth for AI, enabling Verity to develop a comprehensive understanding across the entire financial and accounting landscape.
This, the company explained, leads to more confident and intelligent decision-making. Designed to deliver practical, trustworthy, and auditable AI, Verity automates complex processes, uncovers deep analytical insights, and empowers finance and accounting professionals by freeing them from repetitive tasks.
The new offering includes Vera, an AI team lead that manages and coordinates a group of specialized agents. Vera serves as the single point of contact for finance and accounting professionals, allowing them to orchestrate complex workflows, assign tasks, and review work performed across the agent team.
Verity introduces a digital workforce tailored for finance and accounting by embedding AI into BlackLine’s Studio360 platform, enhancing speed, accuracy, and decision-making capabilities. Finance teams can deploy specialized digital workers managed by Vera to handle complex workflows while maintaining full oversight.
Additionally, Verity enables next-generation process automation by applying AI to high-volume, complex tasks such as data matching and intelligent data capture. The AI simplifies reporting through automated content generation and summarization, and can draft clear narratives that condense large volumes of financial data into actionable outputs.
“Our vision is to future-proof financial operations by delivering agent-based AI beyond automation, empowering our customers to forecast, decide, and act faster,” said Jeremy Ung, Chief Technology Officer at BlackLine. “In collaboration with trusted partners like Google Cloud, we are combining Google’s leading Gemini model with our unmatched governance and process expertise.”
