Anthropic Raises Additional $30 Billion in Series G, Adds $380 Billion in Value

Anthropic has just completed a $30 billion Series G funding round, the company announced on Thursday. The new valuation places the company at $380 billion—a significant increase from its previous Series F valuation of $183 billion.

The new round was led by Singaporean sovereign wealth fund GIC and investment management firm Coatue, with several other prominent firms—including D. E. Shaw Ventures, Peter Thiel's Founders Fund, and Abu Dhabi's MGX—co-leading. Other notable investors include Accel, General Catalyst, Jane Street, and the Qatar Investment Authority, among many others.

This massive capital infusion for the AI startup comes as it competes with rival OpenAI for both customers and cultural mindshare. OpenAI recently announced that it is also seeking to raise an additional $100 billion in funding, which, if secured, would push its valuation to approximately $830 billion.

"The message from our customers—whether they are entrepreneurs, startups, or the world's largest enterprises—is consistent: Claude is becoming increasingly indispensable," said Anthropic CFO Krishna Rao in a press release. "This fundraising reflects the immense demand driven by our customers, and we will use this investment to continue building the enterprise-grade products and models they rely on."
