Bubble Group, a leading visual development platform for artificial intelligence applications, has announced the launch of Bubble AI Agent, a new product that enables users to build production-grade applications by either dragging and dropping elements within the platform’s editor or making adjustments through conversational prompts.
Bubble AI Agent is designed to tackle critical challenges developers face when using AI coding tools for production-ready applications. The company highlights that current AI coding platforms suffer from significant limitations in terms of editability, code quality, security, and reliability for end users. A recent survey conducted among Bubble users found that only 9% utilized AI coding tools for mission-critical applications, while 72% expressed concerns about potential security vulnerabilities in AI-generated code.
The new product addresses these issues by combining the speed of AI-driven development with the precision and control offered by visual editing.
"Developers want the speed of AI code generation, but they can’t risk compromising the quality and security of production applications," said Emmanuel Straschnov, co-CEO of Bubble. "Bubble AI Agent lets you have both."
With Bubble AI Agent, users can develop applications using two complementary approaches: visual editing within Bubble’s editor, which provides full control over design, backend logic, and functionality, and conversational editing via the Bubble AI Agent, which supports natural language prompts. Users can seamlessly switch between the two methods while maintaining full visibility and control over their applications.
To celebrate the release, Bubble has announced a collaboration with Anthropic PBC to host an AI hackathon offering a $25,000 prize pool. The event invites developers to experiment with Bubble AI Agent and showcase applications built using a combination of AI prompts and visual editing capabilities.
With the launch of Bubble AI Agent, the company also revealed several upcoming features set for release later this year. These include a new property editor with enhanced design tools and integrated AI capabilities, support for in-app purchases on mobile applications, and the direct integration of Bubble’s security dashboard (formerly Flusk) into the platform.
