Earlier this month, DeepSeek’s dual-end applications topped the free charts of the App Store in both China and the United States, further proving their excellent market performance and user recognition.

The star count breakthrough on GitHub for DeepSeek not only acknowledges its technical prowess but also affirms its commitment to open-source principles. Among many players in the open-source model field, DeepSeek leads significantly, demonstrating unparalleled advantages. For example, in Meta's Llama series, the first-generation Llama received 57,500 stars, while Llama3 garnered only 28,200 stars; Alibaba's Qwen2.5 received 14,900 stars; Anthropic's technical documentation repository received 10,200 stars; and ZeroOne’s Yi project obtained approximately 7,800 stars.
