Google Gemini Can Now Create Full Presentations from a Single Prompt

2025-10-29

Google is expanding the capabilities of its Gemini AI by introducing a new platform: slides. A fresh update to Gemini’s Canvas workspace now enables users to generate complete presentations—including visuals—using simple text prompts.

This feature is currently available to Google One AI Premium subscribers, positioning Canvas as Google’s “prompt-to-presentation” creative hub. Free users will gain access in the coming weeks.

Effortless Slide Creation

The latest Canvas update empowers Gemini to handle the heavy lifting of presentation design. Users can either upload documents, spreadsheets, or research files—or simply describe a topic—and Gemini will automatically generate a full slide deck around it.

Each presentation comes pre-populated with structured text, relevant visuals, and a cohesive theme, offering a polished starting point instead of a blank canvas.

Generated decks can be exported directly into Google Slides for quick editing or real-time collaboration, seamlessly integrating AI assistance into a workflow already used by millions.

What Is Canvas?

Canvas is Gemini’s dedicated creative workspace where users can transform ideas into apps, games, infographics, or presentations. Powered by Gemini 2.5 Pro, it turns basic prompts into functional, visually rich outputs in just minutes.

Originally launched as an interactive space for co-creating and refining text and code, Canvas has evolved into a full-fledged prototyping studio. By describing an idea, users can have Gemini generate the underlying code or design to bring it to life—whether it’s an interactive quiz, a dashboard, a webpage, or a visual report.

Canvas is also built with learning and exploration in mind. Gemini can convert study materials into custom quizzes, animate algorithms to illustrate how they work, or enhance drafts with real-time feedback and tone adjustments.

With the addition of the new presentation generator, Canvas now unifies these creative tools, blending Gemini’s advanced language intelligence with Google’s visual ecosystem to enable seamless creation, editing, and exporting of creative projects.
