To make AI DJ more interactive, Spotify is updating this feature to allow users to request music or change the playlist's vibe through voice commands. The company is rolling out this functionality to its premium users across over 60 markets, initially supporting only English.

Previously, users could only listen to songs played by AI DJ and hear commentary between certain tracks. Now, this feature has become much more engaging.

Users can instruct AI DJ to change the vibe or music genre, or even request it to play tracks from a specific artist.

To use AI DJ, you can type "DJ" in the search bar, then press and hold the DJ button at the bottom right corner to make requests via voice commands. If you want to change the playlist's mood without making a specific request, simply tap the DJ button quickly.

Spotify first launched the AI DJ feature in February 2023 in the United States and Canada. The company then rolled it out globally in August 2023. Last year, the music streaming service added support for Spanish-language AI DJ.

Another significant AI feature of the company allows users to create playlists using text prompts.
