Apple is expected to host its next keynote in October, likely towards the end of the month. The event is anticipated to unveil four major product categories, with official releases scheduled for November 1st.
M4 MacBook Pro
Although unboxing videos of the laptop have surfaced, the product hasn't been officially launched yet. Apple is expected to reveal the new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro lineup featuring the M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chips by the end of this month.
The standard MacBook Pro model is especially noteworthy in this keynote. It's predicted to come with 16GB of RAM for the first time, introduce a space black color option, and add an additional Thunderbolt port on the right side.
M4 Mac mini
By the end of this month, the Mac mini is set to receive its most significant redesign in 14 years, featuring a considerably smaller form factor and introducing front-facing ports for the first time. The new Mac mini may discontinue support for USB-A ports and offer M4 and M4 Pro chip options, with a minimum of 16GB of RAM.
M4 iMac
In October, the iMac will also receive an update, albeit with relatively minor changes. It is expected to upgrade from the M3 to the M4 chip, and the base model's memory will increase from 8GB to 16GB. Other changes are anticipated to be minimal.
In order to comply with European regulations, new versions of the Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad might transition to USB-C connectors.
iPad mini 7
Lastly, but equally important, the iPad mini is set to receive its first update in over three years. It is expected to feature the A18 chip, support Apple Intelligence capabilities, and potentially include a new display designed to address the “jelly scrolling” issue.
The updated iPad mini might support the Apple Pencil Pro and offer a base storage option of 128GB.
