Google Gemini Web Update: "My Content" Folder Launches with One-Click AI Image Access

2025-12-08

According to a report today from tech outlet Android Central, Google has rolled out a major update to the web version of Gemini, introducing a dark theme and a streamlined “My Content” folder. These changes enhance visual clarity and place greater emphasis on the latest generative image AI model, “Nano Banana Pro.”

The update brings the web interface closer in functionality to its mobile counterpart. The new light mode features a subtle blue-gray tint, while dark mode now uses a true black background. The greeting on the home screen has been simplified from “Hello” to “Hi,” with the prompt input field and suggestion features positioned below.

A revamped hamburger menu now appears on the left side of the homepage, featuring a new “My Content” section alongside “Gems” and “Conversations.” This module organizes AI-generated images, videos, Canvas creations, and chat logs into distinct categories for easier access. Selecting an item under “My Conversations” displays all associated chat history linked to that specific content.

Additional refinements include a subtle spinning animation on the starburst icon when starting a new conversation, more prominent input field borders, and an expanded options button within the hamburger menu’s chat list—enabling users to share, pin, rename, or delete conversations directly.
