Introduced ahead of the 2026 Mobile World Congress, the device is headlined by a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, representing one of the highest-resolution zoom systems available in mainstream devices. Pricing for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant begins at $1,799 (approximately ₹1,63,500), while the 1TB model commands a higher price point. In terms of availability, the handset will launch in key European and Asian markets in early March, with a phased rollout to other regions scheduled for the subsequent weeks.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra distinguishes itself through an advanced quad-camera arrangement optimized for long-range photography. Central to this setup is a 200MP periscope telephoto lens employing a folded prism design to facilitate optical zoom without compromising device thickness. This telephoto unit supports multi-step optical zoom ranging from 3x to 5x, paired with hybrid zoom algorithms and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to mitigate motion blur during handheld shooting. Complementing this is a 50MP main sensor featuring a large aperture and pixel size to enhance dynamic range and low-light performance, along with a 50MP ultrawide lens suited for expansive landscapes and close-up macro shots. Additionally, a 50MP front-facing camera enables high-detail selfies and 4K video capture. Notably, the entire imaging system is co-engineered with Leica, providing dedicated color profiles and imaging modes designed to deliver natural tones, balanced contrast, and cinematic results.
Regarding the display, the smartphone features a 6.9-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED panel with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Power is supplied by an approximately 6000mAh battery, which supports 90W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The device also offers reverse wireless charging functionality to power compatible accessories. Operating on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, the smartphone ensures a modern software experience. Connectivity-wise, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra supports full 5G bands, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4 for accelerated and stable wireless connections. Additional features include NFC, dual-frequency GPS, and an advanced cooling system to sustain performance during demanding tasks.
