In the latest episode of Power On, Mark Gurman, a senior reporter from Bloomberg, revealed that the much-awaited Apple Intelligence feature is set to launch officially on October 28th, coinciding with the rollout of the iOS 18.1 system.

According to official Apple channels, the Apple Intelligence feature will be made available for free to users of the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16, and iPhone 16 Pro upon its release. Additionally, Mac and iPad users with M1 or later processors will also have access to this innovative feature.

It is reported that the Apple Intelligence feature will initially offer support primarily for American English. However, Apple has also revealed that by December this year, the feature will progressively support English dialects from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. Support for languages like Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish is scheduled to be introduced gradually in 2025 to meet the needs of users in various regions globally.

Gurman also revealed that, in addition to the Apple Intelligence feature, the newly enhanced Siri is expected to be available to a broad user base in January next year. Additionally, he shared detailed information about the development timeline and release dates for other versions of iOS 18.

Among them, iOS 18.2 is expected to complete internal development by early November and is planned for an official release in December. iOS 18.3 is projected to finish internal development by the end of the year and to be released in January next year. Meanwhile, iOS 18.4 is anticipated to complete internal development by early February and is scheduled for release in March.

iOS 18.1 will deliver the initial wave of updates to the Apple Intelligence feature, including a lightweight Siri update with a new interface and faster response times, writing tools, photo cleanup, and notification summaries, among other useful features. Subsequent iOS 18.2 versions are expected to introduce more innovative functionalities, such as Image Playground, Genmoji, and ChatGPT integration, providing users with a more enriched and convenient experience.

The introduction of the Apple Intelligence feature signifies a major advancement for Apple in the realm of artificial intelligence. Looking ahead, as more languages and functionalities are gradually rolled out, Apple Intelligence is poised to become an indispensable intelligent assistant in the daily lives of Apple users.
