Read moreNvidia has officially unveiled a high-performance inference AI model engineered specifically for agentic applications. By seamlessly integrating text, vision, and speech processing capabilities, the new system serves as a rapid and highly intelligent decision-making engine for next-generation AI agents.
Dubbed Nemotron 3 Nano Omni, the model features approximately 30 billion parameters. Built on a cutting-edge Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architecture, it delivers exceptionally low latency while offering developers unprecedented flexibility and precise control.
By natively embedding visual and audio encoders into its 30B-AD3B hybrid MoE framework, Nvidia has successfully eliminated the need for separate perception modules. This unified multimodal approach significantly boosts efficiency at scale, delivering data throughput that is up to nine times faster than competing open-source omnimodels on the market.
"When building practical AI agents, waiting several seconds for a model to parse screen content is simply unacceptable," said Gautier Cloix, CEO of H Company. "Powered by Nemotron 3 Nano Omni, our agents can now instantly interpret full HD screen recordings—a capability that was previously unattainable."
The streamlined architecture translates directly into reduced operational costs and enhanced scalability. Thanks to its optimized footprint, the model can be efficiently compressed to run smoothly on high-end consumer hardware while maintaining robust performance in enterprise-grade cloud deployments.
Designed for seamless interoperability, the model can operate alongside proprietary cloud AI systems or other Nvidia Nemotron open models. For instance, it pairs effectively with the Nemotron 3 Super for high-frequency task execution or collaborates with planning-focused variants to handle complex, multi-step workflows.
In real-world scenarios, Nemotron 3 Nano Omni rapidly processes documents, desktop interfaces, voice inputs, and video streams. This makes it an ideal interface for human-AI collaboration and complex machine-state monitoring. By converting natural language prompts into immediate reasoning steps, it streamlines interactive AI development.
Over the past year, the broader Nemotron ecosystem—encompassing Ultra, Super, and Nano variants—has surpassed 50 million downloads. The introduction of the Omni variant strategically expands this open-source portfolio into advanced multimodal and agentic AI territories.
The model is now publicly accessible via Hugging Face, OpenRouter, and Nvidia’s developer portal at build.nvidia.com, where it is available as an optimized NIM microservice. As an open and lightweight solution, it is fully optimized for local development and deployment, enabling engineers to run it efficiently on edge devices like the Nvidia DGX Spark and other compatible hardware.
