Beyond relying solely on Bixby or Gemini, Galaxy S26 owners can now summon Perplexity by saying "Hey, Plex." This integration represents a pivotal component of Samsung's commitment to a "multi-agent ecosystem."
Acknowledging that users utilize various AI agents based on their unique strengths, Samsung is facilitating the integration of diverse agents into its OS. "Hey, Plex" is not merely a transparent app for quick answers; Perplexity will access Samsung Notes, Clock, Gallery, Reminders, and Calendar, alongside select third-party applications, though specific partners were not disclosed.
Samsung foresees a future where AI drives most mobile interactions. Recognizing that users may develop strong attachments to specific AI personalities, the company bets that offering the flexibility to choose any agent will distinguish them from rivals like Apple and Google.
With the next Samsung Unpacked event approaching, additional details regarding Galaxy AI and Samsung's vision for a multi-agent future are expected to be unveiled on the 25th.
