From Spring Festival Gala to the Arena: Unitree H1 Robot Wins First Gold at 2025 Humanoid Robotics Competition

2025-08-15

On August 15th at noon, the National Speed Skating Hall witnessed history as the first gold medal was awarded at the 2025 World Humanoid Robotics Championship. Hangzhou Unitree Robotics' H1 humanoid robot, developed by its subsidiary Lingyi Technology, secured the 1500-meter robot race title with a time of 6 minutes and 34.40 seconds.

This championship-winning model isn't a new release - it's the company's first humanoid robot launched in 2023 that previously made headlines during CCTV's Spring Festival Gala. Competitors acknowledged pre-event that the H1 demonstrated dominant speed advantages during training sessions, describing it as "unbeatable," a prophecy confirmed by the official competition results.

The winning team received a 50,000 RMB cash prize immediately, as evidenced by the on-site certified check presented to the champions. This global event attracted 280 teams from 16 countries, featuring 26 competition categories across 487 matches scheduled from August 15th to 17th.
