Snapchat has recently unveiled that its Platinum subscribers will gain access to brand-new AI-generated video filters featuring animals or flowers. These filters, referred to as "AI Video Filters" by Snap, will debut with three distinct options.

One of the filters creates the illusion of a fox snuggling up on the user’s shoulder, while another features a raccoon playfully interacting atop the user’s head. The floral filter, on the other hand, generates blooming flowers in front of the user, gradually revealing more visuals as the camera zooms out.

Snap states that it plans to roll out new AI-powered video filters every week. These filters are powered by Snap’s self-developed generative video model, bringing cutting-edge AI tools to Snapchat users through the familiar lens format.

In the past, Snap demonstrated an on-device AI model capable of transforming users’ backgrounds and clothing in real time. This latest introduction of AI video filters represents yet another step forward in Snap’s exploration of AR, ML, and AI technologies.
