ChatGPT has launched its own version of Spotify Wrapped, dubbed "Your Year With ChatGPT." The feature, now rolling out to eligible users in select markets including the United States, offers a personalized annual recap powered by OpenAI's popular AI chatbot.

Additional English-speaking regions with access to the new experience include Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.

Initially, the feature is available to users on free, Plus, and Pro plans who have enabled both “memory retention” and “chat history” settings and met a minimum threshold for conversational activity, according to OpenAI’s communication to TechCrunch.

Team, enterprise, and education accounts are excluded from accessing "Your Year With ChatGPT." The company emphasized that the feature is designed to be lightweight, privacy-conscious, and user-controlled.

Similar to year-in-review features seen across consumer apps, this update draws clear inspiration from Spotify Wrapped. Like Spotify’s popular campaign, OpenAI incorporates vibrant visuals and gamifies the experience by awarding personalized badges based on how users interacted with ChatGPT throughout the year.

For instance, frequent use of the bot for troubleshooting or exploring ideas could earn you the “Creative Debugger” badge.

The tool also generates a custom poem and an AI-created image reflecting your key themes and interests over the past year. (We’re curious how this might evolve next year as ChatGPT reportedly embraces adult content in 2026.)

The year-end summary will be promoted on the ChatGPT app’s homepage but won’t appear automatically or force engagement—users maintain full control over whether to view it.

OpenAI confirmed the feature will be accessible across the ChatGPT web platform, as well as its iOS and Android mobile applications.

Alternatively, users can manually trigger the experience by simply asking ChatGPT to generate their “Year in Review.”
