Accenture has forged a comprehensive partnership with OpenAI to deepen the integration of enterprise AI into large organizations—starting with its own workforce.
The company will roll out ChatGPT Enterprise to tens of thousands of employees, marking the largest group to date certified by OpenAI for AI skill development. Accenture plans to leverage this tool across consulting, operations, and delivery functions to build new AI-powered services for clients.
OpenAI is now positioned as one of Accenture’s key partners in its next wave of AI-driven offerings. The collaboration aims to embed intelligent AI at the core of business operations and accelerate adoption among large enterprises.
Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO of Accenture, stated, “By combining OpenAI’s breakthrough technology with Accenture’s deep industry and functional expertise—and our global delivery capabilities—we will accelerate enterprise transformation and deliver stronger business outcomes for our clients.”
Fidji Simo, CEO of OpenAI Applications, added, “Accenture plays a pivotal role in helping businesses adopt the technologies that define each new era. We’re excited to collaborate with them to speed up AI transformation for the world’s largest enterprises.”
The two companies are launching a flagship AI initiative that merges OpenAI’s enterprise solutions with Accenture’s AI experience. Accenture will gain access to OpenAI’s implementation playbook, industry-specific use cases, deployment guidance, and hands-on best practices to integrate AI into real-world client workflows.
They will also co-develop new solutions for critical business functions such as customer service, supply chain, finance, human resources, and more. Accenture will utilize OpenAI’s AgentKit to help clients design and deploy customized AI agents that automate tasks and enhance decision-making.
Accenture has reportedly begun rebranding its 800,000-strong workforce as “reinventors” to reflect their evolving role in the age of AI.
Both companies aim to help joint clients rapidly adopt OpenAI’s agent capabilities and embed them into operational processes across departments. OpenAI already collaborates with some of the world’s largest corporations, including Walmart, Salesforce, PayPal, Intuit, Target, Thermo Fisher Scientific, BNY, Morgan Stanley, and BBVA.
