On December 31, Elon Musk announced that his AI company xAI has acquired a third building named MACROHARDRR. The facility will be developed into a data center, enabling xAI to expand its AI training compute capacity to the 2GW level.

xAI currently operates two data centers—Colossus 1 and Colossus 2—in Memphis, Tennessee. The newly acquired MACROHARDRR site, located in Mississippi, is geographically adjacent to Colossus 2.
