According to Bloomberg's report on July 31, Manus is expected to launch its "Wide Research" feature within this week. The company will introduce a premium subscription tier priced at $199 per month, marking the most significant update since its AI agent platform launched in March 2024.
The new Wide Research functionality allows users to distribute tasks across dozens of collaborative AI agents, enabling large-scale and in-depth research while handling thousands of data entries simultaneously.
Industry insiders noted this feature can execute complex tasks beyond the capabilities of other AI systems like OpenAI's Deep Research, including generating 50 poster designs, ranking top-100 global MBA programs, or analyzing over 1,000 stocks simultaneously.
Bloomberg has not yet verified these claims but requested comments from Manus through email. The company's spokesperson did not respond before publication time.
In March, Manus previewed its "general AI agent" technology capable of completing web-based tasks ranging from resume screening to creating travel itineraries based on basic instructions.
Sources revealed that co-founder Peak Ji plans to demonstrate Wide Research via video, following his initial presentation format when launching Manus.
