AI-Powered Visual Presentation Platform Gamma Raises $68M at $2.1B Valuation

Gamma, a technology company offering AI-powered tools for presentations, social media, and web content creation, has announced it has raised $68 million in a Series B funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz, achieving a $2.1 billion valuation.

Accel, Uncork Capital, and other venture capital firms also participated in the round, bringing Gamma’s total funding to approximately $91 million.

Founded in 2020, Gamma provides a platform designed to help users express themselves, create, and share ideas. Initially launched as an AI-driven alternative to Microsoft PowerPoint, Gamma has since evolved into a comprehensive “visual storytelling platform” supporting presentations, websites, and interactive documents.

“Gamma is solving a universal challenge—everyone has ideas worth sharing, but not everyone has the time or design expertise to make them compelling,” said CEO Grant Lee. “Gamma levels the playing field. This is the future of business storytelling.”

The company’s latest release, Gamma 3.0, introduces an integrated AI design assistant that enables users to rapidly transform concepts into interactive presentations. Within minutes, users can convert rough notes, documents, or links into polished presentations or websites.

All these capabilities are unified within a collaborative workspace where teams can share, co-edit, and refine their work, with intelligent layouts providing a strong starting point.

Andreessen Horowitz isn’t just an investor—it’s also a power user of the platform. “At a16z, we’ve been using Gamma internally for market maps, social media posts, and more. It has fundamentally transformed how we communicate,” said Sarah Wang, partner at Andreessen Horowitz.

The AI-powered presentation space already features major players like Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint, both of which have integrated AI chatbots directly into their platforms. Gamma positions itself as a modern alternative to these legacy tools. Other competitors in this space include Canva Pty Ltd. and SlidesAI.

Gamma also revealed it has surpassed $100 million in annual recurring revenue. The company currently employs 50 people and serves around 70 million users globally, who have collectively created over 400 million presentations, websites, and other digital assets—with more than 1 million new pieces of content generated daily.

The newly raised capital will be used to expand Gamma’s team and accelerate product development, including the launch of new features.
