Google Launches Gemini Enterprise: Unified AI Platform for Businesses

2025-10-09

Google LLC today announced the launch of Gemini Enterprise, an integrated solution that unifies the company's most advanced models, chatbots, and artificial intelligence agents into a centralized platform. Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, stated that AI has become a powerful technology that modern enterprises are leveraging to transform the way they work and engage with customers. However, many companies face challenges due to fragmented tools that need to be pieced together for effective use. "Although the first wave of AI was promising, it remained isolated, unable to coordinate complex tasks across the organization," Kurian explained. "Real transformation requires a comprehensive platform capable of connecting with your background, workflows, and personnel." The new platform is presented through a chat-based interface, serving as the "single entry point" for all AI interactions in the workplace. Through this interface, employees can access everything from advanced AI models to a no-code workspace for building and orchestrating intelligent agents, all the way to company knowledge. Google stated that AI chat and agents running on Gemini Enterprise will be securely connected to all data sources that enterprise users access daily. These sources include Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, as well as business applications from companies like Salesforce and SAP SE. With Gemini Enterprise, users will gain access to powerful automated intelligent agents capable of understanding and generating text, images, video, and audio, all directly embedded within workspace applications. Through Google Vids, users can convert any type of information—from text, slides, or presentations—into engaging videos, including AI-generated scripts with voiceovers. In Google Meet, users can access real-time voice translation that captures natural tonal expressions, making conversations feel authentic and lively. Google said it offers more than 1,500 pre-built AI agents, with access to over 100,000 partners’ ecosystems through the new AI Agent Finder. If no suitable agent exists or users want to combine agents, Gemini Enterprise also integrates Agentspace, Google’s comprehensive platform for building, managing, and deploying AI agents. Using the no-code builder, users can create workflows where AI agents perform specialized tasks and pass information to others. This allows users to build teams of artificial workers to automate processes and collaborate on complex projects. For example, a user might create an agent workflow for a marketing campaign that accepts a simple English prompt such as, “Find current market trends for Halloween and identify which products will sell best during the upcoming seasonal holiday.” The agent can review market information from third parties, generate reports on historically popular costumes and products, and then create marketing materials including images, video, and audio. The same agent workflow can generate emails to colleagues, including market reports, sample campaign materials, and more, enabling team collaboration before final approval. “We've simplified a lot of the complex work people have to do, connecting all these elements and streamlining them within the product,” Kurian said. Industry analysts said the release could signal a broader shift in the enterprise market toward unified AI ecosystems. “AI adoption is complex. The complexity of managing all these dynamic components, especially in multi-vendor solutions, increases the risk profile of AI,” said Ed Anderson, Gartner Research Vice President and Distinguished Analyst. “A unified AI system that considers security, governance, data protection, and management of the AI stack—including the development and use of AI agents—can reduce risk and make AI more accessible to enterprises.”

Connecting Agents and Partners

At its core, Gemini Enterprise is powered by an industry open standard called the Agent2Agent protocol, along with the Model Context Protocol, which allows agents to communicate and link together. These technologies enable agents to securely communicate and coordinate complex tasks, ingest data from first-party and third-party systems, and execute tasks using Google's built-in and partner tools. “Our goal is to make Gemini Enterprise the central destination for customers to access the agents they use every day, including those from leading technology and [software-as-a-service] providers,” Kurian said. Announced partners compatible with Gemini Enterprise include Box, whose agent can extract, summarize, and build information from documents and files; Salesforce, integrating agents into Slack to enhance AI-driven productivity; ServiceNow, offering agents that detect, investigate, and recommend fixes for issues in customer cloud deployments; and S&P Global, providing a data retrieval agent for analyzing earnings calls, conducting market research, and pulling financial metrics. These agents will be discoverable through a curated experience of verified agents, including a new “Google Cloud Ready – Gemini Enterprise” badge to identify those that meet the company’s highest standards. Partner agents can be purchased through the Google Cloud Marketplace or directly from partners and deployed immediately. Gemini Enterprise will be available in Standard and Plus editions, with annual plans starting at $30 per user per month. Gemini Business, with an annual plan starting at $21, is launching today and offering customers a 30-day free trial.
