Meta is testing a new feature that incorporates AI-generated content into Facebook and Instagram feeds based on users' interests and current trends.
These AI-created images are designed to align with each user's preferences. Users can guide the content in new directions by clicking on suggested prompts, and further scrolling prompts the AI to generate more personalized content in real time.
As part of its AI advancements, Meta has also added voice capabilities to its Meta AI assistant, enabling users to ask questions about photos and edit them using voice commands, while also providing automatic translations for Reels videos.
Meta is making significant investments in AI development. Statistics show that 400 million users engage with Meta AI monthly, with 185 million using it weekly. Meta aims to make its AI assistant the most widely used product globally by the end of this year.
Notably, similar to changes in other applications, Meta's move may aim to increase advertising revenue by extending users' time on its platforms and boosting engagement.
