Lenovo has joined the growing list of tech companies entering the smart glasses arena, unveiling an AI-powered eyewear concept at the 2026 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
While not yet a functional prototype, the device offers insight into Lenovo's vision. Weighing approximately 45 grams, the lightweight frame features a 2-megapixel camera mounted above the bridge of the nose. Faint outlines in our images suggest binocular display lenses. A nearby spec sheet indicates both lenses are equipped with green monochrome displays—a design seen frequently at last year’s展会. The device reportedly offers a 28-degree field of view, 1500 nits brightness, dual microphones, stereo speakers, and a 214mAh battery.
In terms of functionality, Lenovo envisions touch and voice control integration, hands-free calling, music playback, and seamless connectivity with smartphones or PCs. Notably, PC connectivity remains rare among smart glasses—especially those with built-in display technology. Additional planned features include real-time translation, intelligent image recognition, and the ability to receive summarized notifications from multiple devices, though further details remain limited.
This combination of features and specs raises some questions. A 2-megapixel camera falls short for photography, especially compared to Meta’s 12-megapixel offering. Additionally, the practicality of switching between smartphone and PC connectivity is unclear, as most AI glasses are designed as always-on, mobile-first wearables. Perhaps this ambiguity explains why Lenovo currently positions it strictly as a “concept” device.
