UBTECH's 1,000th Humanoid Robot Walker S2 Rolls Off Production Line in Liuzhou

2025-12-26

Ubtech's official public account announced today that the ceremony marking the rollout of the company's 1,000th industrial humanoid robot, Walker S2, was held at its Liuzhou Robotics Super Smart Factory. The event coincided with a strategic cooperation agreement signing between the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Government and Ubtech.

Following the event, these robots will be delivered nationwide for frontline industrial deployment, covering key sectors such as automotive manufacturing, intelligent manufacturing, smart logistics, and embodied AI data centers. According to the company, the Walker S series has become the world’s most widely adopted industrial humanoid robot across automobile plants for training purposes. In 2025, Ubtech’s annual production capacity for industrial humanoid robots surpassed 1,000 units, with over 500 already delivered, and the company plans to scale up to an annual output of 10,000 units by 2026.

The Ubtech Liuzhou Robotics Super Smart Factory, located in the northern ecological new district of Liuzhou, is set to enter full operation soon. Spanning 74 acres with a total floor area of 42,000 square meters, the facility includes an office building and three large production workshops. One workshop will focus exclusively on mass-producing industrial humanoid robots, while the other two will handle manufacturing for the Wukong series robots and smart lifestyle products, as well as serve as central hubs for raw material and finished goods storage.

The Walker S2 is a full-size industrial humanoid robot designed specifically for intelligent manufacturing environments. It features the upgraded BrainNet 2.0 multi-robot network system and integrates Co-Agent, the world’s first proprietary agent technology developed by Ubtech specifically for industrial humanoid robot bodies.

Standing at 1.76 meters tall, Walker S2 replicates human-like walking patterns and fine manipulation capabilities. It is equipped with fourth-generation industrial-grade dexterous hands and biomimetic arms. The dexterous hand, designed with human-like dimensions, enables sub-millimeter precision operations and has demonstrated durability exceeding 80,000 cycles in testing. The biomimetic arm adopts a fully hollow structure with integrated cabling, supporting complex tasks such as autonomous battery replacement.

Walker S2 also introduces China’s first pure RGB binocular vision solution in the robot head, enhancing environmental adaptability in factory settings through “human-eye-like” stereoscopic visual perception. With a 52-degree-of-freedom biomimetic body and advanced dexterous hands, it can handle 15 kg loads across a full spatial range from 0 to 1.8 meters and perform flexible waist rotations of up to ±162°.

The robot runs on Ubtech’s self-developed Co-Agent collaborative intelligence platform for industrial humanoid robots, integrating multimodal reasoning large models, embodied interaction models, specialized small skill models, and human-like chain-of-thought technologies. This enables closed-loop operational capabilities including intent comprehension, task planning, tool utilization, and autonomous anomaly resolution, with algorithms continuously refined using billions of data points collected from industrial training scenarios.

Equipped with high-power, high-torque hip joints and dynamic balance algorithms, Walker S2 can execute challenging movements such as touching the ground flexibly, deep squatting, and long-distance object retrieval.

Notably, Walker S2 achieves autonomous battery swapping for the first time globally, leveraging technologies including dual-battery simultaneous charge/discharge, standardized battery compartment quick replacement, and dual-arm coordinated precise battery exchange—enabling uninterrupted 7×24-hour operation.
